Tue Sep 10 17:39:00 UTC 2024: ## Collision Closes Portion of Banks Road in Kelowna
A two-vehicle collision has partially closed the intersection of Banks Road and Highway 97 in Kelowna. The incident occurred this morning, and police and the Kelowna Fire Department are currently on scene.
The south end of Banks Road at the intersection has been closed to traffic. While traffic flow north and south along Highway 97 appears largely unaffected, the crash involved a damaged power pole.
At this time, the extent of any injuries is unknown. The severity of the collision and the cause are under investigation.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.
