While assessing the flood damage from a small railway bridge, a speeding train whizzed by, narrowly missing the 74-year-old leader.

Despite the close call, Mr. Naidu remained unperturbed, continuing his inspection of the swollen rivulet. The incident occurred as Mr. Naidu was personally supervising relief efforts in Vijayawada, which has been severely affected by unprecedented rainfall and floods.

Passengers on the passing train cheered the Chief Minister’s dedication, as he has been actively involved in the relief work, wading through floodwaters, riding boats, and even bulldozers to inspect the damage.
