**SUMMERSVILLE, WV** – Construction is set to begin this fall on the first phase of the 128-acre Summerville Recreational Complex. The project, which broke ground on August 23rd, aims to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the youth of the community and boost tourism in the area.

“We’re going to build a state-of-the-art complex, it’s going to include many things, but we’re doing it primarily for the youth,” said Summersville Mayor Robert Shafer. “The bonus to it is, it’s going to be another attraction to help us with what our core economics and that’s tourism.”
