The visit aimed to showcase the project’s progress and highlight the impact of Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) on the city’s infrastructure development.

The delegation, which included Kazuhiko AokI, Taiga Ishikawa, and Kaneshige Wakamatsu, received a detailed briefing on the project’s progress, construction challenges, and its potential to transform Mumbai’s transportation landscape. They were particularly impressed with the line’s ability to connect currently unconnected areas of the city, providing easier access to slum areas and easing traffic congestion.

The delegation also took a train ride from BKC to Marol Naka station, experiencing the line’s operation firsthand. They expressed satisfaction with the project’s progress and commended the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) for effectively utilizing the Japanese ODA.
