**Dhar, Madhya Pradesh:** Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Savitri Thakur, during a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) in Dhar, stressed the importance of enhanced security measures and improved infrastructure in girls’ hostels. Thakur instructed officials to construct compound walls around all girls’ hostels to ensure their safety.

Furthermore, the minister advocated for a comprehensive survey and the organization of camps to facilitate the issuance of Ayushman Cards and address the prevalent issue of Sickle Cell Anaemia. An action plan to tackle this health concern was also mandated, and Thakur directed the implementation of necessary security measures in local hospitals.

Thakur also proposed the selection of a site near the railway line of Chhota Udaipur for industrial development to attract investors. Recognizing the ongoing issues with the Ghatabillod Underpass Road, the minister urged for a permanent solution and insisted on the continuation of maintenance work under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, threatening action against negligent agencies.

The meeting also included a review of various government schemes, including the Prime Minister’s Matru Vandana Yojana and Kisan Samman Nidhi. Thakur provided guidelines for their effective implementation and encouraged the involvement of social workers and NGOs in the action plan for Sickle Cell Anaemia, with a planned camp in Gandhwani.

In a significant development, the construction of a PM Mitra Park in Bhaisola, Badnawar, was announced. This park will provide women with skill development training and placement opportunities.
