**St. Paul, MN** – The Pioneer Press has announced new procedures and deadlines for placing obituaries in their print and online publications.
Effective immediately, all obituaries must be submitted via email to **obits@pioneerpress.com**. The newspaper will no longer accept obituary submissions through their website.
To ensure accurate and timely publication, the following information is required:
* **Name and contact information of the funeral home or cremation society**
* **Death certificate or confirmation from the funeral home/cremation society**
* **Payment information**
**Important Deadlines:**
* **Monday-Friday:** Content and payment must be received by 4:30 PM
* **Saturday:** Content and payment must be received by 1:30 PM
* **Sunday:** Content, payment, and final changes must be received by 2:30 PM
**Photo Deadlines:**
* **Monday-Saturday:** Photos must be received by 4:30 PM
* **Sunday:** Photos must be received by 2:30 PM
**Payment Options:**
* **Credit Card:** Accepted by phone only
* **EFT:** Check by phone
* **Cash:** Accepted at the Pioneer Press front counter Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
**Guestbook and Outside Websites:**
The Pioneer Press will not reference other media sources with guestbooks or obituaries placed elsewhere. They may place a website for a funeral home or a family email for contact instead.
**Memoriam Submissions:**
Memoriam submissions are remembrances of a loved one who has passed and have different rates than obituaries. For more information, please call 651-228-5280 or email **memoriams@pioneerpress.com**.
