Fri Sep 06 20:46:00 UTC 2024: The Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center has selected its Junior Board for the coming year to further its mission of providing a safe environment for children who are victims of abuse. The Junior Board works to advocate, educate, and empower, and has raised over $80,000 to support the center’s services. The Executive committee for 2023 consists of President Heather Gatewood, Vice President Abby McKay, and Secretary Dr. Jessica Scarratt. Abby McKay will be the President for the 2024 term. The Junior Board members are dedicated to helping children heal and thrive, and their efforts have significantly impacted the community. The Child Advocacy Center offers forensic interviews, therapy, advocacy, and prevention education to help children and families heal from trauma.
