– The AIKS urged the government to ensure minimum support price, reduce production costs, and waive farmers’ debt burden
– The AIKS stated that the government’s agrarian policies are influenced by free market ideologies and are anti-farmer
– The Centre announced seven programmes for the growth of agriculture and allied sectors with a total outlay of nearly Rs 14,000 crore to increase farmers’ income.
