– Union president says there will be no new collective agreements until outstanding issues are addressed
– Last agreement expired more than a year ago, negotiations have failed to deliver a new deal and CIRB is mediating
– Previous strike in 2023 shut down port operations for 13 days, disrupting billions in trade
– Employers say ongoing dispute with port foremen does little for supply chain stability.
