Tue Sep 03 15:47:52 UTC 2024: – Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) patron Gurinder Singh Dhillon has nominated Jasdeep Singh Gill, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge, as his successor
– Gill, 45, will take over as the new patron and ‘Sant Satguru’ of the society with immediate effect
– Dhillon expressed his wish for the Sangat to support Gill in the same way they supported him after the previous spiritual head
– Gill has served as the Chief Strategy Officer of Cipla Limited and has degrees from MIT and IIT Delhi
– Dhillon had succeeded his uncle as spiritual head in 1990 and the sect has a huge following in India and abroad with meetings held in over 90 countries
– In other news, Gokul Setia has joined Congress in Haryana and is expected to contest against Gopal Kanda in the Sirsa assembly constituency
