1. The Rouse Avenue Court has extended Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody until September 3 in connection with the CBI’s investigation into the Delhi Excise Policy case 2021-22.
2. The court has reserved its decision on the CBI’s fourth supplementary chargesheet which names Kejriwal and five others as accused.
3. The CBI has alleged that Kejriwal promised Rs 90 lakh to each candidate in 40 Goa constituencies and presented evidence of financial involvement from the South Group.
4. The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing of Kejriwal’s bail plea to September 5 at the request of the CBI.
5. The AAP has accused the BJP and CBI of conspiring to keep Kejriwal imprisoned and alleged that the CBI was leaking information to the media to influence public opinion.
