Delhi Family Brutally Attacked in Laxmi Nagar Over Gym Ownership Dispute
Delhi, India – A family in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar neighborhood was subjected to a brutal attack on January 2nd, allegedly stemming from a dispute over the ownership of a gym. According to police reports, the incident began when Rajesh Garg and his wife went to the basement of their home, where they run a gym, to investigate a water leak.
Garg alleges that Satish Yadav, a former caretaker of the gym, orchestrated the attack after attempting to illegally seize control of the business. The police have obtained CCTV footage of the incident, which reportedly shows Yadav and several other men confronting the couple.
Garg claims that he was severely beaten, while his wife was molested. When their son intervened, he was allegedly dragged outside, stripped naked, and further assaulted. According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by Garg’s wife, she was also physically assaulted, dragged by her hair, and pushed into the street.
“They dragged him (her husband) into the gym, stripped him, and beat him with iron rods. They threatened to end his bloodline” she reported in the FIR.
The victims sustained significant injuries. The son suffered head injuries and a broken tooth, while Garg has swelling on his face, difficulty opening his mouth, and multiple bruises.
Police have arrested Satish Yadav in connection with the attack. Three other suspects, identified as Vikas Yadav, Shubham Yadav, and Omkar Yadav, are currently at large.
Garg’s wife stated that she had only hired Satish Yadav as a caretaker and never granted him any ownership rights to the gym. She claims that previous requests for him to leave the premises after asserting ownership had resulted in violent behavior. The investigation is ongoing.
