Elmira-Corning NAACP to Host Annual MLK Celebration with Focus on Justice
CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) – The Elmira-Corning Chapter of the NAACP will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration next Saturday, January 10th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Corning.
This year’s event will feature Dr. Rashida Vessell, founder and CEO of Safahla Medical, as the keynote speaker. The celebration will center around Dr. King’s powerful quote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” a theme organizers say embodies both celebration and a call to action.
