Sun Jan 04 01:50:00 UTC 2026: Rockets’ Sengun Injured in Early Minutes Against Mavericks
HOUSTON – Disaster struck early for the Houston Rockets tonight as center Alperen Sengun suffered an ankle injury just one minute into the game against the Dallas Mavericks. Sengun landed awkwardly while vying for a rebound and immediately showed signs of considerable pain. He was escorted to the locker room and is currently listed as questionable to return.
“It was a tough break for the team,” said Charlie Cummings from DraftKings Network. “Sengun is a key player, and losing him so early is a setback.”
Sengun managed a single rebound before exiting the game. The Rockets are already without Steven Adams, leaving them thin at the center position.
Stay tuned to DraftKings Network for further updates on Sengun’s status as they become available.
