Tragedy in Nizampet: 3-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Apartment Pool
Hyderabad, January 4, 2026 – A three-year-old boy, Machabhakthuni Arjun Kumar, tragically drowned in a swimming pool at the Vertex Prime Apartments in Nizampet on Sunday morning. Arjun, son of M. Sarath Kumar of Chintal, was visiting his grandparents at the apartment complex when the incident occurred.
According to KPHB police, the boy was taken for a walk by his grandparents around 8 a.m. when he wandered off and went missing. After a search, the family discovered Arjun floating in the apartment’s swimming pool.
He was immediately pulled from the water by his grandfather and rushed to a nearby private hospital. Despite attempts to revive him, doctors pronounced the child dead.
Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
