THANJAVUR, January 4, 2026 – The Department of Posts has established two service centers at the Sri Thyagabrahmam Adhishtanam premises in Thiruvaiyaru, coinciding with the 179th Thyagaraja Aradhana festival. The UTSAV Counter and Aadhaar Counter were inaugurated on January 3rd by Postmaster General (Central Region), Nirmala Devi.
These service centers will provide postal services as well as Aadhaar enrolment and correction services to attendees of the annual music festival. The Department of Posts has historically offered similar services via a postal stall during the Aradhana.
According to an official release, the public can utilize these postal and Aadhaar services until January 7th. The Thyagaraja Aradhana festival, a significant event for Carnatic musicians and enthusiasts, attracts visitors from across India and beyond. The postal department’s initiative aims to provide convenient access to essential services during the festival.
