Sun Jan 04 03:00:00 UTC 2026: Longhorns Dominate Wolverines in Citrus Bowl Thriller
Orlando, FL – December 31, 2025 – The Texas Longhorns capped off a stellar season with a decisive 41-27 victory over the Michigan Wolverines in the Citrus Bowl. Quarterback Arch Manning stole the show, displaying both his arm talent and rushing prowess. Manning connected with Kaliq Lockett for a 30-yard touchdown pass and also rushed for two touchdowns himself, including a electrifying 60-yard dash.
The Longhorns’ offense proved too much for the Wolverines, with tight end Jack Endries adding another touchdown reception. Running back Christian Clark also contributed to the ground game, consistently gaining yards and wearing down the Michigan defense.
Despite a strong effort from Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood and tight end Marlin Klein, they couldn’t contain Manning and the Longhorns’ offense.
The Longhorns celebrated their Citrus Bowl victory with Cheez-It themed festivities, including Prince Chedward. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and Manning are both expected to lead Texas to new heights in the upcoming season.
