Sat Jan 03 11:30:00 UTC 2026: ## Clicks Aims to Revive Physical Keyboards with New “Communicator” Smartphone and Mobile Keyboard

LAS VEGAS – Clicks Technology, known for its smartphone keyboards, is launching a new smartphone and mobile keyboard in advance of CES next week. The Communicator, a $499 smartphone with a built-in physical keyboard, offers an experience similar to classic BlackBerry devices.

The company is targeting professionals who carry two phones: one for work and one for personal use. The Communicator seeks to be a distraction-free device for productivity, with a focus on messaging and document work, while eschewing social media apps and games. Clicks has partnered with Niagara Launcher to provide easy access to productivity apps such as Gmail, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Slack.

A key feature is the “Signal Light,” a customizable LED button on the side that alerts users to specific messages with different colors and light patterns. The button can also be used for voice dictation and may integrate with AI applications in the future. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, and a physical switch for Airplane Mode.

Clicks is also releasing the Power Keyboard, a $79 slide-out keyboard that attaches magnetically to smartphones, tablets, and even smart TVs. The keyboard features a built-in battery and tactile keys.

“There’s growing demand for purpose-built products that help people communicate with confidence and take action,” said Clicks CEO Adrian Li.

The Communicator is available for pre-order with a $199 deposit or for $399 for those who pay in full. The Power Keyboard is also available for pre-order at $79. Both devices are expected to ship later this year.
