Fri Jan 02 10:00:00 UTC 2026: ## Lamar Jackson Poised to Start Sunday Night Showdown Against Steelers
Baltimore, MD – Ravens fans can breathe a sigh of relief as quarterback Lamar Jackson declared himself “100%” ready to start Sunday night’s highly anticipated game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jackson, who missed last week’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers due to a back contusion, participated in his second consecutive full practice Thursday.
“I’m gonna be out there,” Jackson affirmed, after undergoing treatment and feeling significantly better since Monday. This marks Jackson’s first full week of practice since early November.
The Ravens’ injury report saw mixed news. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman remains sidelined with an illness, and outside linebacker Kyle Van Noy is dealing with a quad injury, both missing their second straight day of practice. However, left tackle Ronnie Stanley (knee), guard Andrew Vorhees (foot), fullback Patrick Ricard (ankle), tight end Charlie Kolar (nose), and defensive tackle Taven Bryan (knee) were all upgraded to full participants after previously being limited. Linebacker Roquan Smith was limited for a second straight day due to a hamstring issue. Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie and left guard Andrew Vorhees are slated to play.
On the Steelers’ side, signs point to the return of star outside linebacker T.J. Watt, who has been out for three weeks with a partially collapsed lung. Watt has been limited in practice, and his snap count remains uncertain. “It’ll be great to have him back. In what capacity, we won’t know until Sunday,” Steelers Defensive Coordinator Teryl Austin stated.
The Ravens also ruled out Ar’Darius Washington. The Bengals will be without star wide receiver Tee Higgins due to a concussion, and first-round rookie Shemar Stewart is doubtful for the game.
