Delhi Launches Survey to Re-enroll School Dropouts, Ensure Education for All

NEW DELHI, January 2nd, 2026 – The Delhi government has initiated a comprehensive 15-day survey aimed at identifying and re-enrolling school dropouts, as well as locating children who have never attended school and those with special needs. The initiative, spearheaded by the Samagra Shiksha branch of the Delhi Education Department, commenced on Thursday, January 1st.

The survey’s primary objective is to ensure that no child is left out of the education system. According to a notification issued last week, special admission cells will be established at schools to facilitate the enrollment process.

“The initiative aims to ease the admission process, ensure maximum enrolments and achieve the goal of no child left out of school,” stated an official release.

This is not the first effort of its kind. Samagra Shiksha conducted a similar survey in the previous year. The government hopes this renewed push will further strengthen its commitment to providing education for all children in Delhi.
