Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora Gear Up to Host Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2026
NEW YORK, NY – Get ready to ring in 2026 with Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora as they return to Times Square to host the iconic “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” The dynamic duo promises an unforgettable night packed with music and excitement.
Seacrest and Ora are preparing for those exhilarating yet nerve-wracking moments leading up to the ball drop. “About that 30-second mark, I’m thinking pay attention to 11, so you hit 10 right at 10,” Seacrest shared, highlighting the precision involved in the countdown.
This year’s broadcast boasts an unprecedented lineup of 39 artists, making it the show’s largest and longest edition to date. Adding to the excitement, the celebration expands to Chicago, featuring a performance by Chance the Rapper.
Ora emphasized the energy of the Times Square crowd, noting, “They give us so much more energy and the performances.” Despite last year’s rain, the spirit of the celebration remained undeterred.
Seacrest expressed his honor in continuing Dick Clark’s legacy, recalling Clark’s ability to connect with viewers. “I was so enamored by his ability to make all of us feel comfortable when we’re watching on TV,” Seacrest said.
As the clock strikes midnight, nearly three tons of confetti, cut into 2×2 squares, will shower revelers in Times Square. Fun fact: The first ball drop in 1907 was made of wood and iron.
Tune in to ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026” live on Wednesday, December 31, beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST. The show will also be available for streaming on Hulu the next day.
