The Vehicle Scrapping Policy 2025 aims to remove unfit and polluting vehicles older than 15 years from Rajasthan’s roads through a safe and transparent process. Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa stated the policy will incentivize the establishment of registered vehicle scrapping facilities with subsidies on capital investment, tax exemptions, and other benefits. Furthermore, individuals who scrap their old vehicles will receive a certificate of deposit, entitling them to a discount of up to 50%, capped at ₹1 lakh, on motor vehicle tax when purchasing a new vehicle.
