Bengaluru, December 30, 2025 – A 26-year-old employee of Biocon, identified as Anantha Kumar, died Tuesday evening after falling from the terrace of the company’s facility located in Electronics City Phase 2.
According to police reports, Kumar, a resident of Banashankari and employed in Biocon’s Finance Department, was observed heading towards the terrace while engaged in a phone call. He reportedly fell from the building around 5:00 PM within the jurisdiction of the Parappana Agrahara police station.
Kumar sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have notified his parents.
“The reason for the suicide is not yet known, and no death note was found at the scene,” stated a police spokesperson. “A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.”
Biocon released a statement expressing their condolences: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our employees in Bengaluru.
