Indianapolis, IN – The road to the FCS Championship is set, with the 24-team playoff bracket revealed on Sunday, November 23, 2025. The selection show, broadcast on ESPNU, unveiled the teams vying for the national title, which will be decided on Monday, January 5, 2026.
The playoffs kick off on Saturday, November 29, 2025, with the first-round matchups featuring the 16 unseeded teams. The top eight seeded teams will enjoy a bye directly to the second round.
Eleven conferences and alliances received automatic bids to the playoffs, while the FCS Championship Committee selected the remaining 13 teams to complete the at-large bids.
Defending national champion North Dakota State, who secured their 10th title in 2024 with a 35-32 victory over Montana State, will look to defend their crown against a highly competitive field.
