Mon Dec 29 06:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Indiana Legal Icon Ken Nunn Passes Away at 85
Bloomington, IN – Ken Nunn, the ubiquitous personal injury lawyer whose name and 1-800-CALL-KEN number are ingrained in the minds of Hoosiers, died on Christmas Eve. He was 85 years old. Nunn’s passing was announced by his law office on Christmas Day.
Nunn, a Jeffersonville native and Indiana University graduate, founded his Bloomington-based law firm in 1967. Starting with a card table, folding chairs, and a single employee (himself), Nunn built Ken Nunn Law Office into Indiana’s largest personal injury practice. His firm now employs 90 people, including 12 lawyers, and serves clients in every county across the state from its large office building visible from I-69.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that our founder and leader, Ken Nunn, passed away on the morning of December 24th,” the firm stated in a social media announcement.
Known for his extensive advertising campaigns spanning TV, radio, billboards, social media, and even public transit buses, Nunn’s presence was a constant throughout Indiana. Beyond his legal work, Nunn was also a dedicated philanthropist, regularly supporting local charities. Just days before his death, he donated bicycles to children at the local Boys and Girls Club, continuing a long-standing tradition.
Nunn is survived by his daughter, Vicky Nunn, who was inspired by her father to become an attorney. She has worked at Ken Nunn Law Office since 2001 and will continue to lead the firm. He is also survived by his son, David Nunn, and his two grandchildren, Katie Nunn and Jimmy Nunn.
