In a statement released Monday, the Police Commissioner announced the closure of Benz Circle and Kanaka Durga flyovers on December 31st night. He also emphasized that activities such as cutting cakes on roads, forming large groups, performing bike stunts, creating public nuisance, eve-teasing, and triple riding will not be tolerated.
Patrolling will be intensified on major thoroughfares including BRTS Road, M.G. Road (Bandar Road), and Eluru Road. Police will conduct thorough checks to prevent drunk driving and ensure adherence to traffic regulations.
“Public should celebrate the occasion without creating any trouble for others and follow traffic rules,” stated Mr. Rajashekar Babu. He added that strict instructions have been issued to the police to take firm action against any troublemakers during the New Year’s Eve festivities.
