Infamous ‘SVU’ Villain Henry Mesner Returns to Terrorize Fans in Season 27

NEW YORK, NY – Brace yourselves, “Law & Order: SVU” fans. Ethan Cutkosky, known for his chilling portrayal of Henry Mesner, a deeply disturbed youth first introduced in the 2013 episode “Born Psychopath,” is set to reprise his role in an upcoming Season 27 episode.

The “SVU” Instagram account teased the return on December 12th with a video of Cutkosky interacting with Mariska Hargitay, whose character, Olivia Benson, has a long and complicated history with Mesner. The caption read, “Sir, this is the 16th precinct. Catch Ethan Cutkosky guest-starring on #SVU soon.” Cutkosky himself added fuel to the fire with a cryptic comment of martini emojis.

Viewers first met Mesner as a young boy in juvenile detention for harming his sister and classmates. He later escalated to arson, attempting to kill his family to avoid psychiatric treatment. He made a reappearance in the 2021 episode “Post-Graduate Psychopath,” hinting at a possible future return.

The announcement has sent the “SVU” fandom into a frenzy. Comments on social media range from excited anticipation to outright fear, with fans eagerly awaiting the return of the villain they “love to hate.”

The exact airdate of the episode featuring Mesner’s return has not yet been released. But one thing is clear: Olivia Benson is likely going to have her hands full.
