Kannur, Kerala – December 29, 2025 – The Kannur Cyber Police have launched an investigation into a social media account, “Red Army Kannur,” after it posted a video purportedly depicting the explosion of a country-made bomb. The Instagram post triggered a series of threatening comments between activists from the CPI(M) and the Indian Union Muslim League, leading authorities to believe the post was intended to incite riots.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), the video surfaced following incidents of violence between UDF and LDF activists in various parts of Kannur after recent local body election results.
