Sun Dec 28 18:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Steelers’ QB Aaron Rodgers Could Rake in Millions in Playoff Bonuses

Pittsburgh, PA – Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers could significantly boost his earnings this season, with potential bonuses totaling $5.85 million tied to the Steelers’ playoff performance. This comes despite criticism from former NFL star Cam Newton, who has called the Steelers’ offense “inconsistent” throughout the season.

Rodgers, on a one-year, $13.65 million deal with a $3.65 million base salary, stands to gain an extra $500,000 for a playoff berth, $600,000 for a Wild Card win, $750,000 for a Divisional Round victory, $1 million for an AFC Championship, and a substantial $1.5 million for a Super Bowl triumph. To receive the bonuses, Rodgers must play at least 50% of offensive snaps in each game.

The Steelers (9-6) currently lead the AFC North and have a strong 93.4% chance of making the playoffs, according to ESPN Research projections.

Rodgers isn’t the only player with significant incentives on the line. Other players like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, Keenan Allen and Bradley Chubb also have lucrative bonuses tied to their individual and team performance.
