Mon Dec 29 03:27:32 UTC 2025: ## Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express Fire Kills One in Andhra Pradesh
Yalamanchili, Andhra Pradesh – A fire broke out in two compartments of the Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express early Monday morning near Yalamanchili, approximately 66 km from Visakhapatnam, resulting in one fatality. Police confirmed they received reports of the incident at 12:45 AM.
According to authorities, the fire affected two coaches, B1 and another unnamed, carrying 82 and 76 passengers respectively. The body of Chandrsekhar Sundaram was discovered in the B1 coach.
The affected coaches have been detached from the train, which has resumed its journey towards Ernakulam. Arrangements are being made to transport the passengers from the damaged coaches to their final destinations.
Two forensic teams are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
