Sat Dec 27 18:00:00 UTC 2025: TGL Season 2 Tees Off with Upgrades and Familiar Faces (Minus a Few Legends)
The tech-infused TGL golf league returns Sunday with Atlanta Drive GC facing off against New York Golf Club in a SoFi Cup Final rematch. While all six teams retain their rosters from last year, Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas will sit out at the start of the season as they recover from back surgeries. Woods is expected to attend Jupiter Links GC matches and provide commentary.
Fans can expect an enhanced experience this season. The GreenZone putting surface has been expanded by 38% to 5,270 square feet and now features 12 hole locations. The turf has also been adjusted to eliminate challenging “into-the-grain” shots, promising more exciting and predictable ball behavior.
Each team now boasts a signature hole, designed by top architects, reflecting the team’s geographical inspiration. New shot comparison graphics, powered by Virtual Eye technology, and additional camera angles, including the return of the SmartPin Cam, aim to provide fans with unprecedented insights into the action. The league’s regular season runs until March 3, with playoffs slated for March 17 and the SoFi Cup Finals on March 23-24. All matches will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+.
