Spider-Man: Brand New Day Set to Swing into Theaters July 31, 2026
Glasgow, Scotland – Production is underway for Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day, slated to hit theaters July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This film marks Tom Holland’s return as Peter Parker five years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, kicking off a new trilogy focused on a more mature and grounded “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.”
Filming began August 3, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland, under the working title Blue Oasis. Set photos have revealed a new Spider-Man suit, designed in part by Holland, as well as glimpses of high-flying web-slinging action. Notably, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will also appear, sporting an armored truck. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), taking over from Jon Watts.
Brand New Day is expected to draw inspiration from the Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, focusing on a fresh start for Peter Parker following the events of No Way Home, where the world forgot his identity. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are rumored to return.
Joining Holland are familiar faces like Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk and Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion. Exciting newcomers include Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) in an undisclosed role and Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear) as a detective. Tramell Tillman (Severance) has also joined the cast in a mystery role.
Though part of the Multiverse Saga, Brand New Day promises a more intimate story for Peter Parker. Expect a thrilling next chapter in Spider-Man’s MCU journey.
