“Prison Break” Leaving Netflix Ahead of Hulu Revival

LOS ANGELES, CA – December 12, 2024 – Fans of the hit Fox crime drama “Prison Break” have until January 30th to binge the series on Netflix before it’s removed from the streaming platform. This news arrives just months after Hulu announced a follow-up series, generating renewed interest in the original show.

“Prison Break,” which debuted in 2005, captivated audiences with its intricate plot following Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) as he orchestrates a daring plan to break his wrongly convicted brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), out of prison. Created by Paul Scheuring, the series also featured a strong supporting cast, including Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, and Robin Tunney.

While Miller and Purcell will not be reprising their roles in the new Hulu series, a fresh ensemble cast, including Drake Rodger, Emily Browning, and Lukas Gage, is set to carry on the “Prison Break” legacy. A release date for the Hulu series has not yet been announced.

Netflix subscribers are encouraged to catch up on all five seasons of “Prison Break” before January 30th.
