KOCHI, December 28, 2025 – Fort Kochi police rescued an unidentified migrant worker from the Thuruthy canal early Sunday morning. The individual was found immersed up to his neck in the contaminated water, visibly shivering.
Police responded to an alert around 8:30 a.m. and found the man in distress. He is suspected to be suffering from mental health issues.
“The individual was immediately transported to the nearby taluk hospital before being transferred to the Ernakulam General Hospital for further care,” stated Inspector M.S.
