RAMESWARAM, INDIA – December 28, 2025 – Security is being significantly ramped up in Rameswaram as the city prepares to host Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan on December 30 for the valedictory ceremony of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam.
Ramanathapuram Superintendent of Police G. Chandeesh confirmed that comprehensive security measures are in place to ensure a peaceful event. “We anticipate around 5,000 attendees,” Chandeesh stated to the press following an inspection of the venue with Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon. “To manage the crowd and maintain security, we will be deploying 700 police personnel.”
