Browns Face Injury Woes Ahead of Steelers Showdown: Key Players Questionable

CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Browns are facing a significant injury hurdle as they prepare to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. A late surge of injuries on Friday has left several key players questionable for the crucial divisional matchup.

Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. (groin) and quarterback Dillon Gabriel (shoulder) were both added to the injury report on Friday, and are both considered “50-50” to play. Fannin is Sanders’ go-to guy, and his loss would be significant for the Browns’ passing game.

Cornerback Myles Harden is also questionable with an arm injury suffered during Friday’s practice. Defensive tackle Sam Kamara, running back Dylan Sampson, and guard Wyatt Teller round out the list of questionable players.

The Browns have already ruled out two players: tight end David Njoku (knee) and linebacker Winston Reid (back). Njoku’s absence leaves the Browns thin at tight end, potentially forcing them to rely on Blake Whiteheart and Brenden Bates.

To address Gabriel’s injury, the Browns are expected to elevate quarterback Bailey Zappe from the practice squad to serve as backup.

The Browns will need to overcome these injuries if they hope to secure a victory against their division rival.
