BJP Accuses Congress of Anti-India Alliance Ties

New Delhi – December 27, 2025 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack against the Indian National Congress, alleging its involvement in an “anti-India” global alliance. The BJP’s accusations stem from recent comments made by Sam Pitroda, a long-time advisor to the Gandhi family, in an interview where he reportedly revealed the Congress party’s “official position” within the Global Progressive Alliance (GPA), with Rahul Gandhi as part of its presidium.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi claimed Pitroda “inadvertently exposed” the Congress party, alleging that Rahul Gandhi frequently travels abroad to attend GPA events, hoping for the alliance’s support in returning the Congress to power. Trivedi further alleged that the GPA is linked to organizations that promote “anti-India narratives” and demanded that the Congress clarify its role within the grouping.

The BJP spokesperson also pointed to Rahul Gandhi’s recent meeting in Germany with Cornellia Woll, a trustee of the Central European University funded by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, as evidence of potential foreign interference. Trivedi referenced George Soros’s 2020 remarks at the World Economic Forum, where Soros stated his intention to allocate one billion dollars towards re-establishing civil society and eliminating nationalist forces, specifically mentioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Trivedi challenged the Congress party to name the 110 “democratic countries” that, according to Pitroda, comprise the GPA, suggesting that some of these nations are attempting to undermine India. The Congress party has yet to respond to the BJP’s allegations.
