Sat Dec 27 14:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Liverpool Sweat Over Bradley and Gakpo Fitness Ahead of Wolves Clash
Liverpool, England – Liverpool manager Arne Slot is facing a nervous wait to determine the availability of key players Conor Bradley and Cody Gakpo for their Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on Saturday.
Bradley, who was substituted at half-time during last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, is nursing an undisclosed issue, while Gakpo continues to recover from a muscle injury that has kept him sidelined for the past three matches.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Slot rated the duo’s chances of featuring as “50-50,” adding, “Friday we will see exactly where he [Bradley] is [and] if he can be in the squad for the weekend. Cody is a bit similar to Conor.”
The Reds are already dealing with a significant injury list, with Alexander Isak newly sidelined after ankle surgery, joining Wataru Endo, Joe Gomez, and Giovanni Leoni on the sidelines. Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended, and Mohamed Salah is away on international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, there is good news for Liverpool fans as Florian Wirtz is fit and available after concerns over his late withdrawal against Tottenham were allayed. Jeremie Frimpong is also in contention to start after making his return from a two-month injury layoff as a substitute in the Tottenham win.
Meanwhile, Wolves are facing their own injury woes. Captain Toti Gomes has been ruled out for a significant period with a hamstring injury. Hugo Bueno has returned to training, providing a boost, while Yerson Mosquera is back from suspension.
Wolves head coach Rob Edwards acknowledged the challenge of facing Liverpool at Anfield, stating, “I’m just thinking about the game itself, and we’re looking forward to another really difficult game, but going to Anfield is always enjoyable. It’s a real challenge, it’s one of the most difficult ones, but one of the ones you look forward to.”
The match kicks off at 3pm GMT on Saturday.
