Fri Dec 26 23:03:18 UTC 2025: Gaza Death Toll Climbs to 411 Amid Alleged Israeli Ceasefire Violations

Gaza City – The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has reached 411 since the start of the truce agreement in October, amid reports of near-daily violations by Israeli forces, news agencies report.

The latest fatality occurred on Friday, when Israeli forces allegedly shot and killed Uday al-Maqadma near a school in Gaza City, according to the Palestinian news service Wafa. Al-Maqadma succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The reports allege that since the start of the truce, Israeli forces have continued deadly attacks, imposed severe restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza, and carried out raids in the occupied West Bank. Wafa reported earlier this week that two Palestinians were killed east of Gaza City, in the Shujayea neighborhood.

Aid restrictions are also reportedly hindering the delivery of essential goods to displaced Palestinians facing harsh winter conditions. The Gaza Government Media Office claims that only 244 aid trucks are entering the strip daily, significantly below the 600 mandated by the truce.

In the occupied West Bank, incidents of settler violence and Israeli army raids have reportedly intensified. A municipal worker was allegedly attacked by settlers near Nablus, and Palestinian farmers were detained near Tubas. Several Palestinians were also detained in raids near Hebron.

Tensions have also risen in northern Israel, where a Palestinian man from the West Bank allegedly rammed his car into a crowd in Beit She’an, killing two. The incident occurred a day after a video surfaced of an Israeli settler running over a Palestinian man praying in the West Bank.

The violence extends beyond Palestinian territories. The United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported coming under “heavy machinegun fire” from Israeli positions in southern Lebanon, calling the incidents a “serious violation” of a UN Security Council resolution.
