HYDERABAD, INDIA – December 26, 2025 – The Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) party has announced plans for a series of public meetings across Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda districts starting in early January, aiming to mobilize support for Telangana’s rights to Krishna River water. Former Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) convened a meeting with party leaders on Friday, where he accused neighboring states, allegedly supported by the current Telangana government, of conspiring to deprive the region of its rightful share of Krishna water.

“The people of these districts are being denied their due,” KCR stated, emphasizing the importance of highlighting the government’s communication to the Ministry of Jal Shakti seeking clearances for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS).
