Sargaalaya International Arts and Crafts Festival Kicks Off in Kozhikode
Kozhikode, December 25, 2025 – The 13th annual Sargaalaya International Arts and Crafts Festival is now underway at the Sargaalaya Arts and Crafts Village in Iringal, Kozhikode. Since opening its doors on December 23rd, the festival has already attracted a large number of visitors eager to experience the diverse array of artistic expressions on display.
The festival is a visual feast, featuring striking installations such as a giant newspaper hand showcasing handicrafts, a traditional country boat, and a labourer couple sculpture. A unique selfie point featuring an Aranmula metal mirror adds a modern touch to the traditional displays.
The festival includes 100 stalls representing 15 countries and various Indian states, showcasing a wide variety of products from across the globe. Besides the market, visitors can enjoy a flower show, a tourism talk show, and a tourism expo. Students from the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Kannur, have also set up a handloom theme stall, and a handloom fashion contest adds another element of excitement.
