Thu Dec 25 01:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Bandido Ends MJF’s Diamond Dynasty, Claims Dynamite Diamond Ring!

New York, NY – In a stunning upset at AEW Dynamite on 34th Street last night, Bandido defeated Ricochet to capture the coveted Dynamite Diamond Ring, ending MJF’s seven-year reign as the sole possessor of the prized accolade.

The match, a head-to-head battle between Bandido, the reigning ROH World Champion, and Ricochet, the AEW National Champion, was set after both competitors survived the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal during AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash the week prior. This marked the first time since 2019 that MJF, who famously leveraged the Diamond Ring to fuel his rise to the AEW World Championship in 2022, was absent from the Diamond Ring match.

The stakes were higher than ever this year, with the winner also securing a guaranteed title shot at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage on January 15th. This title shot will be against whomever emerges as champion from the four-way title match between Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, Hangman Adam Page, and MJF at Worlds End.

The match was a hard-fought affair, with Ricochet appearing to have the victory in hand. A well-timed distraction from the Gates of Agony allowed Ricochet to deliver a low blow while the referee was occupied. As Ricochet attempted his signature Spirit Gun finisher, Bandido cleverly reversed the move into a back-slide cover, securing the pinfall and the victory.

Despite the bell ringing, Ricochet continued his assault on Bandido, refusing to relinquish the pin. Before the Gates of Agony could join in the beatdown, Brody King stormed the ring to make the save, preventing further damage. King then proudly presented the Dynamite Diamond Ring to his tag team partner, Bandido, as the show went off the air, cementing Bandido’s historic win and marking a new era for the prestigious ring.
