Wed Dec 24 07:50:00 UTC 2025: Summary:

After being removed in 2022, all 10 seasons of the sci-fi series Stargate SG-1 are returning to Netflix on February 15th, 2026, in the US, UK, Latin America, and other international regions. This comes after a new licensing deal between Netflix and MGM (now under Amazon). This deal currently only applies to SG-1, not the spin-offs Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe. This is part of a broader deal with MGM that will bring other Amazon-owned content to the streaming service. Netflix had previously been considered to reboot the series, though Prime Video will handle it now.

Stargate Opens on Netflix Again: All 10 Seasons of SG-1 Returning in February 2026

Los Gatos, CA – December 22, 2025 – Fans of intergalactic exploration, rejoice! Netflix has secured a deal to bring all 10 seasons of the iconic sci-fi series Stargate SG-1 back to its streaming platform, starting February 15th, 2026. The series will be available to subscribers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and select international territories.

Stargate SG-1, a cornerstone of the science fiction genre, follows the adventures of Colonel Jack O’Neill and his team as they traverse the galaxy through an ancient alien portal. The series had previously been available on Netflix before being removed in December 2022.

The return is made possible by a new licensing agreement with MGM, now owned by Amazon. While this initial deal focuses solely on SG-1, sources suggest that the spin-off series, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, may follow suit depending on the performance of SG-1.

“This is a massive addition to our New Year’s lineup,” said a Netflix spokesperson. “We know there are legions of Stargate fans out there, and we’re thrilled to bring this classic series back to our platform.”

The acquisition is part of a larger trend of MGM content making its way to Netflix, including the series Hunters and Fargo. A new Stargate reboot is currently in the works at Amazon’s Prime Video, however.
