Palm Beach, FL – Tennis legend Venus Williams has officially tied the knot with actor, producer, and model Andrea Preti in a lavish Palm Beach ceremony, following an initial intimate wedding in Italy this past September. The whirlwind romance began earlier in 2024 at Milan Fashion Week, a chance encounter neither anticipated.

“We met at the Gucci show,” Williams revealed. “I was in Lake Como on a sisters’ trip when I got an invite at the last minute and decided to go on a whim, and Andrea was tired. Neither of us was planning on being there.”

Preti, captivated by Williams, approached her after the show. The connection was immediate, facilitated by Williams’s sister, Lyn, who initiated a WhatsApp conversation between the pair. A subsequent meeting in London led to Preti joining Williams’s family for breakfast, proving he could hold his own amongst the “OGs.”

Their relationship deepened quickly, facing an unexpected challenge when Williams was diagnosed with adenomyoma just ten days later. Preti stepped up, connecting her with a specialist in Italy who ultimately performed the surgery. “It was so early in our relationship, but we were going through a lot, and he supported me,” Williams said.

Six months after their initial meeting, Preti proposed in Tuscany, setting the stage for two distinct wedding celebrations. The first, held in Ischia, Italy, on September 18th, fulfilled their dream of marrying in the beautiful country. However, due to paperwork complications, a second wedding was planned to honor Williams’s Florida roots.

The Palm Beach wedding, organized by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events (who also planned Serena Williams’s wedding), was a week-long affair. The celebrations commenced with a yacht outing arranged by Serena, filled with music, dancing, and quality time with close family and friends.

Venus Williams, who had been single for six years, expressed her joy and certainty about her decision. “After our dates in London, I just knew I was going to marry him. People always say they just know, and I just knew.”
