HYDERABAD, December 19, 2025 – A 21-year-old woman, Sakina Fathima, tragically died on Thursday (December 18) after falling from the eighth floor of an apartment building in KCR Nagar, Kollur. Fathima, an employee of a private company, was attempting to move from her family’s flat to a neighboring balcony when the incident occurred.
According to the Kollur police, Fathima was at the apartment with her colleague and partner, Mir Hussain Ali Khan. Her father arrived later, hoping to rest at the flat after finding a ration shop closed. He found the door bolted from the inside with the lock missing and, assuming someone else had occupied the apartment, locked it from the outside and left.
Upon hearing her father’s voice, Fathima attempted to exit the apartment by climbing to the adjacent balcony. She lost her footing and fell. Khan reportedly attempted to save her but was unable to maintain his grip. Fathima died on the spot.
