KRISHNAGIRI, INDIA – December 19, 2025 – Police in Krishnagiri and Pudhupettai have arrested two individuals for the illegal possession of a significant quantity of explosives. The arrests, announced today, follow an incident on December 13th where a country-made bomb was thrown at a private company bus, resulting in injuries to one female staff member.

Following the initial arrests related to the bus bombing, authorities conducted searches of the residences of Dharjun Nisha, 39, of Krishnagiri, and Barkatullah, 55, of Pudhupettai. The searches yielded a combined total of 125 kg of explosives, including 50 kg of sulfur, 50 kg of potassium chloride, and 25 kg of ammonium.
