Duffy’s Daughter Blasts TSA as “Unconstitutional” After Airport Pat-Down

[City, State] – Evita Duffy-Alfonso, daughter of former Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, is criticizing the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) after a recent airport experience. Duffy-Alfonso took to social media to express her frustration, claiming the agency nearly caused her to miss her flight after she requested a pat-down instead of going through a body scanner due to her pregnancy.

Duffy-Alfonso, 26, described TSA agents as “passive-aggressive” and accused them of pressuring her and another pregnant woman to use the scanner, despite assurances of its safety. She labeled the pat-down “absurdly invasive” and declared the TSA an “unconstitutional agency that isn’t even good at its job.”

She further questioned the convenience offered by programs like CLEAR, suggesting they require surrendering biometric data and amount to being “treated like a terrorist in my own country.”

While Duffy-Alfonso claimed she arrived at the airport an hour and 10 minutes before her flight, major airlines recommend arriving at least two hours ahead of domestic flights.

Modern TSA body scanners are generally considered safe for pregnant women, with the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists deeming any radiation exposure as “negligible” to the fetus.

Duffy-Alfonso also stated that if her father had control of the TSA, he would drastically limit it and advocate for its abolishment. She believes the agency violates the Fourth Amendment. Her husband, Michael Alfonso, is currently running for her father’s former House seat in Wisconsin.

The TSA has been contacted for comment.
