Hyderabad, December 19, 2025: President Droupadi Murmu urged Public Service Commissions (PSCs) to prioritize achieving equality of outcomes, alongside equality of opportunity, during the inauguration of the 24th National Conference of Chairpersons of Public Service Commissions in Hyderabad today. Addressing the gathering at Ramoji Film City, she emphasized the crucial role of PSCs as agents of change in promoting equity within India’s governance framework.

“Honesty and integrity are paramount and non-negotiable” when selecting candidates for civil service, she stated. President Murmu also highlighted the importance of civil servants having a strong commitment to working for marginalized communities and showing sensitivity toward the needs and aspirations of women.

The conference, organized by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, brings together chairpersons from Union and State PSCs to discuss strengthening recruitment processes and enhancing the role of PSCs in Indian governance.

TGPSC Chairman Burra Venkatesham expressed his gratitude for the President’s presence.
