Ryan Seacrest Honored with Stadium Renaming at Alma Mater, Dunwoody High School
Dunwoody, GA – In a heartwarming tribute to his roots, media personality Ryan Seacrest will have Dunwoody High School’s football stadium renamed “Seacrest Stadium” in his honor. The DeKalb County School Board approved the renaming, acknowledging Seacrest’s impactful early career beginnings at the school, where he graduated in 1992.
Seacrest transformed the morning announcements into a full-fledged broadcast, earning the title “The Voice of Dunwoody.” His parents, Connie and the late Gary Seacrest, shared the dream of honoring Ryan this way for over two decades.
The newly renovated Seacrest Stadium boasts upgraded features, including 2,000 additional seats, improved accessibility, and a modern press box. “The new Seacrest Stadium will give Dunwoody something it has never truly had — a home field worthy of its pride and tradition,” the official statement said.
“These stands will be more than a structure — they’ll be a symbol of unity, school spirit and hometown pride that generations of Wildcats will call their own.”
The stadium aims to serve as a hub for the Dunwoody community, fostering school spirit and providing a space for gatherings and celebrations. The stadium is a culmination of years of dreaming and planning to honor one of Dunwoody’s most successful alumnae.
