Bengaluru Police Inspector Files Complaint Against Woman for Harassment
Bengaluru, December 17, 2025 – A police inspector in Ramamurthy Nagar, Bengaluru, has filed a formal complaint against a woman for persistent harassment, according to the Ramamurthy Nagar police station.
Inspector Sathish G.J. alleges that Sanjana, also known as Vanaja, repeatedly contacted him via WhatsApp, phone calls, and messages between October 30 and December 12, 2025, professing her love and proposing marriage. When the Inspector did not respond, Sanjana allegedly attempted to use political influence, claiming connections to high-ranking officials including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Home Minister, even sending him photos alongside the political leaders.
“I then received calls from the offices of the Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister asking why I was not taking complaints from a woman named Sanjana,” the Inspector stated. “However, she had not filed any formal complaint.”
The situation escalated when Sanjana visited the police station on November 11 and handed the inspector a package containing anxiety medication and two letters. According to the FIR, one letter threatened suicide, blaming the inspector for her potential death due to his rejection. The other letter expressed her love in what she claimed was her own blood.
Following this incident, the inspector initiated an investigation, but Sanjana reportedly did not cooperate. Further inquiry revealed a pattern of similar behavior directed at other police officers.
On December 12, Sanjana allegedly created a disturbance at the police station and threatened Inspector Sathish, leading to the filing of the complaint. An FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, concerning assault, criminal intimidation, and obstruction of a public servant in the discharge of public functions. The investigation is ongoing.
